eMix, a major company providing healthcare IT solutions, announced that it has launched its new, web-based imaging archiving solution from DR Systems. The new solution will allow the sharing of diagnostic imaging exams from CDs and DVDs.
The new solution from eMix will help a lot of healthcare facilities, which still get their radiology files from CDs, to share those files securely through eMix’s cloud-based archive, and one the internet where they could be reviewed by doctors. Moreover, the new solution can be used with a facility's electronic medical records. Florent Saint-Clair, program director for eMix, said “Facilities still receive important prior exams on CDs. We heard from our customers that they wanted to readily import these prior exams into eMix so they could view, evaluate and share it more easily and cost-effectively. This new capability elegantly responds to those requests.”
