TeraMedicaVendor Neutral Imaging Leader Eyes International Growth

October 30, 2013 - MILWAUKEE, WI -  TeraMedica, Inc., the leading provider of vendor neutral, enterprise-wide solutions for unrestricted medical image management, has named Nick Donofrio Director of Client Services.

In his new position, Donofrio will assist with global market and general expansion efforts as the company focuses on significant growth.

The position was created when Greg Strowig, previously Vice President of Client Services, was recently promoted to Chief Operating Officer.

“My background has equipped me to handle the critical needs of managing the broad array of clinical information within a healthcare enterprise.

I’m pleased to join TeraMedica, which has been in the vanguard of vendor neutral archiving technology, and I’m excited to lead the client services team,” Donofrio commented.

“Market projections indicate strong growth for vendor neutral archives over the next several years.

TeraMedica is perfectly positioned with a highly respected product to capitalize on this opportunity.

As our customer base expands significantly in the near term, our service operations must scale accordingly.”

Donofrio has more than 27 years of experience in medical imaging and healthcare IT.

During his early career, he was employed for ten years at GE Healthcare with responsibilities in product management and technical marketing in the CT and nuclear medicine modalities.

Following his work at GE, Donofrio served as director of planning and market research at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare, a hospital and healthcare chain located throughout Southeastern Wisconsin.

He then transitioned to Merge Healthcare, and over a 13 year span, he spearheaded the integration of several key business functions across the company’s new acquisitions.

This included medical device regulatory compliance, order fulfillment and logistics, customer support and professional services.

His tenure at Merge included a five year period of managing the company’s DICOM-based PACS archive product.

“Nick brings extensive healthcare IT and medical imaging experience to his new role, including proven leadership in supporting customers and delivering professional services.

We are certain his skills will help our service organization grow to meet increased demands, particularly internationally,” said Greg Strowig, COO of TeraMedica.

“The focus Nick applies to his work will assist TeraMedica in moving forward and realizing its full potential.”
