Women’s Imaging: Southcoast Hospitals' Breast Imaging Centers became the first healthcare facilities in the 
SouthCoast region to be recognized as Centers of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR). SouthCoast hospitals provide breast health services in nine centers throughout Southeastern Massachusetts.
Christine Lopiano, mammography outreach mManager at SouthCoast Hospitals Group, said "Patients can feel confident that the SouthCoast breast centers have achieved high practice standards in image quality, facility equipment and quality control," she added "The designation also means our staff have the qualifications and expertise to provide this high standard of care." The ACR designation represents the highest accreditation granted to breast health centers in the U.S. The status of a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the ACR is granted to breast imaging centers that have completed accreditation in ACR’s entire voluntary, breast imaging accreditation programs and modules, plus its mandatory Mammography Accreditation Program.
SouthCoast is one of the major healthcare facilitates providing breast health services in Southeastern Massachusetts. The facility provides100% digital mammography services at its three hospitals in Fall River, New Bedford and Wareham. ACR have granted accreditation to the entire nine SouthCoast Breast imaging Centers.
