Sectra, a major company providing healthcare IT solutions, announced that its 
branch in Europe is going to provide a centralized radiology image sharing solution in a public chain of hospitals in Norway. The provided solution will help in offering healthcare services in one of the most populated sections of the healthcare system in Norway.
The public hospital chain offers healthcare services for number of 1.5 million Norwegians across its region and the chain is formed of four hospitals, these hospitals perform up to 700,000 radiology examinations per year.The new solution from Sectra is going to integrate the image management systems combining three different PACS vendors, the solution also will work with the Electronic Patient Record system of the hospitals. After installing the new solution, the hospital chain will have a single, unified, patient workflow system across the enterprise, which will allow more cooperation between radiologists and physicians through the chain.
