Radiography" href="/tag/Digital-Radiography.html">Digital Radiography: Pat Basu, MD, MBA, an ACR member and an attending radiologist at Stanford University and Palo Alto VA Hospital, had been recently given an appointment as White House Fellow and Special Assistant to the President.
Dr. Basu became the first radiologist to get such an appointment. Dr. Basu is the Course Director of Health Policy, Finance and Economics at Stanford. He also conduct lectures discussing these aspect in the United States and internationally. The White House Fellows program started in 1964. It is considered one of the most prestigious programs, for leadership and public service, in the United States. A White House Fellow is to spend a year serving as a full-time. He is paid as a Fellow to senior White House Staff, Cabinet Secretaries, and other high-ranking government officials.
