Research firm K.L.A.S has named the A.C.U.S.O.N S3000 TM ultrasound system from Siemens Healthcare the recipient of its 2014 ‘Best in K.L.A.S’ Award in the category of ‘Ultrasound – General Imaging’.
The annual survey aims to improve healthcare technology delivery by honestly, accurately, and impartially measuring vendor performance.
Equipment used for ultrasound imaging within general imaging, including diagnostic radiology, women’s health, obstetrics, urology, and other related specialties were compared within the category.
“This is a tremendous achievement because each of the top performers earned this recognition through the voice of their customers,” said Matt Terry, Vice President of medical equipment and imaging research for K.L.A.S.
“Given that vendors must concern themselves with the complexities of a dynamic healthcare market and operational challenges; it is remarkable to see so many undeviating from their focus on helping providers succeed.”
The Best in K.L.A.S designation is reserved for vendor solutions that lead the imaging and pharmacy automation equipment market segments with the broadest operational and clinical impact on healthcare organisations.
K.L.A.S rankings are based on a series of surveys conducted with hospital and clinic executives, administrators, physicians, nurses, and other directors and managers with business responsibilities. Respondents are queried regarding their experiences with their vendors and products.
Bernadette Leonard, Business Manager at Siemens Healthcare states, “We are delighted to receive top honours in the best in K.L.A.S survey for Ultrasound.
The A.C.U.S.O.N S3000 system incorporates a number of applications to provide workflow excellence, exceptional image quality, upgradability and technology migration.
We are confident that hospitals will continue to benefit from the system’s advanced imaging capabilities and ergonomics.”
