SECTRA, USA, March 11, 2014 - More and more Dutch hospitals are choosing the medical imaging IT company, Sectra, (STO: SECT B) as their regional IT partner and consequently, Sectra’s market share is growing in the Netherlands.

One of the new customers is IJsselland Hospital in Capelle aan den Ijssel, a member of the large Zorgservice XL hospital group, which recently signed a five-year agreement.

Sectra will provide a complete radiology IT solution that will enable the hospital to handle radiology images and related patient information throughout the hospital more efficiently thus improving patient care.

“Our customer base is growing and Sectra has increased its market share to more than 30% in the Netherlands, which reflects our customer’s requirements for efficient solutions as well as our ongoing efforts to increase customer satisfaction by providing excellent service,” says Peter Osinga, Managing Director of Sectra Benelux.

As a result of its work, Sectra has been awarded “Best in KLAS” in the “2013 Best in KLAS: Software and Services” report in the category “Acute care PACS”.

The order from IJsselland Hospital includes Sectra PACS for managing digital radiology images and Sectra RIS for efficient handling of patient information.

Thea de Jong, Manager of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, explained why IJsselland hospital has chosen Sectra.

The use of an integrated RIS/PACS solution at IJsselland Hospital will increase the availability of images and patient information within the hospital thereby improving patient care and enhancing workflow.
