Contrast enhanced CT scan shows a complex enhancing mass in the left temporal lobe with surrounding edema
Axial T2-weighted MR image without gadolinium shows a 3 cm x 2 cm heterogeneous mass, with flow corresponding to the region of greatest enhancement on the CT. the mass is located in the left temporal lobe and exerts significant mass effect. Surrounding edema is present. Heterogeneous enhancement is present following gadolinium
Differential Diagnosis:
- Vascular malformations (including cavernous angiomas, telangiectasias, venous angiomas, and arteriovenous malformations)
- Primary CNS neoplasm
- Metastases
Diagnosis: Cavernous Hemangioma
