Winter has settled in on Chicago and the 2010 RSNA is a memory for those in the City of the Big Shoulders. For those in the radiological community, the end of the conference signals the beginning of a new year for diagnostic imaging.
Although practitioners in the U.S. are staring down a 2011 Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) final rule that is expected to be less than generous for reimbursement, the overall outlook for the specialty remains positive. A host of new technologies (as well as updates to existing product lines) introduced at this year’s RSNA promises to deliver the tools clinicians need to deliver superior service to their referring physicians and outstanding care to their patients.
We’ll be showcasing some of the innovations that were unveiled in the Windy City last month beginning tomorrow. Look for Hub-exclusive video interviews with executives from Philips Healthcare, Aurora Imaging Technology, Carestream Health, GE Healthcare, BRIT Systems, McKesson Provider Technologies, Siemens Healthcare, DatCard, Agfa Healthcare, Sectra, and Merge Healthcare over the coming days and weeks.
