The 6C1, the newest addition to Siemens Healthcare’s range of ergonomic, high density transducers, will be showcased at this year’s British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS) Annual Scientific Meeting and ExhibitionSiemens Healthcare to present its flexible ultrasound solutions

Siemens Healthcare will showcase its range of ultrasound offerings at this year’s British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS) Annual Scientific Meeting and Exhibition from 15-17 October in Brighton. Representatives will be on stands 49-51 offering demonstrations and discussing the range of applications and functionality that systems such as the ACUSON S2000™, X300 and P10 offer to sonographers and clinicians.

The Acuson S2000 is Siemens’ premier diagnostic ultrasound system, offering superb imaging capabilities to deliver increased diagnostic confidence and support clinical needs. It provides support across a range of routine examinations including cardiac, OB/GYN, vascular, radiology, breast and small parts imaging. Via its Virtual Touch™ application, the system also offers Acoustic Radiation Force Impulse (ARFI) technology. ARFI uses shear waves to examine the stiffness of deep tissue and offers a quick, non-invasive solution for greater image penetration, particularly beneficial for ultrasound liver examinations.

Also on display will be Siemens’ 3D workstation and syngo®.fourSight Workplace, the first ultrasound application to work with NVIDIA® 3D Vision™ technology, enabling 3D/4D volume manipulation, plus 2D image review to enhance diagnostic confidence. Information on the range of Siemens’ innovative transducers including the linear array 9L4, curved-array CH5-2 and the recently launched 6C1 HD will also be available. The 6C1 is the newest addition to Siemens’ range of ergonomic, high density transducers joining the 18L6 and 4Z1. It offers improved image resolution at all frequencies and greater band width, primarily for use in abdominal as well as obstetric and pelvic examinations.

With exceptional performance in a compact, ErgoDynamic™ design, the X300 is a highly mobile ultrasound system. It provides sonographers with excellent imaging functionality and clinical versatility through a full suite of transducers. The system is easy to move and store in hospital departments where space may be restricted and its height adjustable control panel increases system flexibility for use in gynaecology, urology, obstetrics and musculoskeletal examinations.

Siemens Healthcare will showcase the ACUSON S2000™, its premier diagnostic ultrasound system, at this year’s British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS) Annual Scientific Meeting and ExhibitionThe portable benefits of the handheld P10 ultrasound system will also be presented. Weighing just 700 grams, capable of image depth from 4-24 cm and small enough to fit into a coat pocket, the P10’s mobility enables ultrasound imaging to be taken directly to the patient. This is of particular benefit in examinations that take place out of the hospital environment as well as for faster care in critical or trauma situations and versatility in routine examinations.

“Our range of ultrasound systems, transducers and applications are designed to fulfil the needs of sonographers and clinicians,” said Sanjay Srivastava, UK Ultrasound Business Manager at Siemens Healthcare. “We look forward to meeting with delegates at BMUS and discussing how our innovations can meet current and emerging healthcare challenges.”
