Women's imaging news A new Breast Care Center has been recently launched in London. The new facility is based at St. Joseph’s hospital. It will provide a wide range of services for diagnosis of breast cancer.

The new Breast Care Center features a team of breast surgeons, radiologists, and a nursing staff. The facility offers various breast care services for women, such as mammography, ultrasound, and breast biopsy.

The new facility is able to conduct all the needed tests for nearly 70% of its visitors within the same day. This means that the time needed for the results of each test to be ready, before moving to the next test, will be significantly reduced.

Glen Kearns, integrated vice-president for diagnostic services at St. Joseph’s hospital, said “(The old way) made it difficult for patients to navigate,” She was referring to the fact that women previously had to wait long time anticipating the results of their tests.

The new breast care center has been built on a space belonging to St. Joseph’s hospital. Nearly $995,000 has been spent during the building and preparation of the new center. There are efforts to raise up to $885,000 to carry out additional preparations.
