Manning Regional Healthcare Center, in Manning, Iowa, announced that starting from next month, the facility will begin offering digital mammography services. The Center has recently acquired a new Lorad Selenia digital mammography system from Hologic.
Thanks to the new Lorad Selenia system, detection of breast cancer will be much easier. The system helps radiologists in determining micro-calcifications in dense breast tissue and identification of cancer up to 2 years before it can be felt during physical examination. Lorad Selenia system allows the manipulation of images by radiologists by means of zooming in and magnification.
