Healthcare IT: St Jansdal Hospital, located in Harderwijk, Netherlands, announced that it has extended the contract with iSoft for
the use of Lorenzo for an additional three years, in a deal going to worth €4.5M. iSoft is going to install additional Lorenzo patient management and clinical decision support features at the public hospital, containing 340-bed, to offer support to the existing hospital information systems, moreover, iSoft is about to replace that information system with its Lorenzo.
St Jansdal hospital is participating in developing iSoft's solutions, an iPhone application, for instance, that allows nurses to register general patient data, in addition to pulse and temperature findings, directly to be added to the electronic patient record. “St Jansdal is a pioneer in the use of healthcare IT. We enjoy an excellent partner relationship and share similar philosophies.” said Peter Herrmann, managing director of iSoft Central Europe. Last February, iSoft implemented Lorenzo 3.5 in some surgical departments at St Jansdal, offering tools for patient management, reporting results, and capture of advanced clinical data.
