A new deal was signed between Gentofte University Hospital in Hellerup, Denmark and iMDsoft to install its imdsoftMetaVision software in its new intensive care unit built in the hospital. Based on the new deal, the hospital will substitute Philips' CareVue clinical information system with the MetaVision solution of clinical information systems.

“We are convinced that implementing MetaVision is a significant step towards realising our aim of improving patient care and healthcare logistics at Gentofte University Hospital." said Dr. Thomas Mohr, head of the ICU at the hospital, he added “Among the things that particularly attracted us to MetaVision was the enhanced decision support options it offers when compared with the system we previously used. MetaVision provides far more complete adaptability to our particular clinical and administrative needs." The new system is going to allow the hospital to capture, document, analyze, report and store data related to its patients while attending the intensive care unit.

“We are delighted to make our debut in Denmark with an implementation of MetaVision in Gentofte's new ICU." said Phyllis Gotlib, chief executive of iMDsoft, he added “I am confident that Gentofte's clinicians will be the first among many health professionals throughout Denmark who will come to enjoy the benefits that MetaVision is already bringing to hundreds of hospitals worldwide.” Moreover, the company signed new deals last week to extend its products in Spain and South America.
