Newly launched ACUSON S1000 from Siemens Healthcare offers cost effective diagnostic confidence
The first installations in the South of the UK of Siemens Healthcare’s new ACUSON S1000™ ultrasound systems have taken place at Croydon University Hospital, part of Croydon Health Services NHS Trust. The ACUSON S1000 facilitates imaging for a wide spectrum of patients, body types and disciplines ranging from radiology and general imaging to obstetrics, gynaecology and paediatric imaging.
Two systems are now in place in the Ultrasound Department to expand the range of diagnostic capabilities for the hospital. The systems are being used across the Ultrasound Department for general imaging including abdominal, gynaecological and small parts.
“The image quality via the ACUSON S1000 for general abdominal imaging is excellent,” said Claire Hoskins, Consultant Radiologist and Clinical Lead Radiology at Croydon University Hospital. “The high quality of images gives clinicians a clear view of the internal structure of organs and allows us to diagnose more subtle abnormalities.”
“The ACUSON S1000 ultrasound system offers multiple configuration options to support the hospital’s clinical needs and budget requirements,” said Michael Asare, Regional Sales Manager at Siemens Healthcare. “It supports a comprehensive suite of transducers and exam types to accommodate a wide range of body types, including difficult-to-image patients. This makes the latest member of the ACUSON family an ideal solution for any demanding clinical environment.”
