The outpatient imaging center at SSM St. Joseph Hospital West, in Lake Saint Louis, announced that it has recently received accreditation from the American College of Radiology (ACR). The latter granted the imaging center 3-year accreditation in computed tomography (CT) and high-field open magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
ACR accreditation recognizes the high level of imaging services provided at SSM St. Joseph Hospital West. The accreditation was awarded following an extensive review process carried out by a panel of board-certified physicians and medical physicists. The panel reviewed a number of criteria, including the quality of generated images, conditions of imaging modalities, staff knowledge, in addition to implementation of quality assurance programs.
