St. Luke’s Imaging Center, Boise, Idaho, has recently received a 3 year accreditation from the American College of Radiology (ACR) in breast MRI.
ACR accreditation recognizes the high quality of breast MRI service offered at St. Luke’s Imaging Center. The accreditation is awarded following a complete evaluation of the facility carried out by Board-certified panel of physicians and medical physicists.
When a facility if following ACR Practice Guidelines, accreditation is awarded after assessing several criteria such as imaging quality, staff qualifications, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs.
Terry Jagow, director of radiology, said "The gold seal tells our patients that their prescribed test is done at a facility with the highest level of imaging quality and patient safety," adding "It means our staff has voluntarily gone through a rigorous review process and is well-qualified through education and certification to perform and interpret medical images. Patients can rest assured that our facility meets or exceeds quality and safety assurance guidelines."
