CT

CT (Computed Tomography) is a form of x-ray imaging in which a three-dimensional image of a structure is constructed by computer from a series of axial slices (plane cross-sectional images made along an axis). The latest generation CTs can acquire multiple axial slices (4,16,32, 64) in 1/2 to 1/3 of a second, allowing for dynamic studies (angiography and cardiology) to be done.
