Realizing the significant importance of SIIM 2010 annual meeting, a wide range of companies competed to showcase their products in the event. The SIIM 2010 was carried out under a key topic, which was "Value innovation through imaging informatics," The integrated learning sessions; represented a genuine chance for interaction between attendees and vendors. Caroline Wilson, a SIIM spokeswoman, said that the sessions "extend the opportunity for personal interaction, exchange and networking among attendees and exhibitors, thus creating a mutual benefit on the understanding of the application of imaging informatics to healthcare delivery,"

Siemens Healthcare, a major provider of healthcare IT solutions, highlighted its advanced visualization and PACS solutions. It has showcased its syngo.via1 and syngo.plaza. These solutions represent the latest additions to Siemens' syngo portfolio, which is a series of high leveled systems providing  significant support in case preparation, image reading and archiving functionality to the clinical practice. Dr. Arthur Kaindl, CEO, Image and Knowledge Management, Siemens Healthcare, said "As the technology partner of choice for many of the world's best healthcare organizations, Siemens remains highly committed to finding new, innovative ways to elevate the diagnostic potential of our imaging solutions," he added "SIIM 2010 provides us with an important platform where we can demonstrate our latest imaging informatics tools to our customers and prospects, and gain knowledge that helps us see where we can further expand our broad radiology, cardiology and image-processing portfolio to help them further improve workflow efficiency and to enhance the delivery of patient care."

GE Healthcare also attended SIIM 2010 realizing its importance. The company highlighted its Centricity RIS/PACS-IW solution that provides a full-featured enterprise application that covers the needs of an outpatient imaging center. The solution represents GE healthcare's commitment to healthcare community. GE Healthcare IT SVP and Global GM Don Woodlock commented "What we did was explore what the market has now and project how healthcare reform will impact both the products and the players," he continued "Then we spoke with some key thought leaders about where they see things heading and they all concluded the same thing. Operational dashboards will shape the future of the field."


Moreover, another company realizing the potential significance of SIIM 2010 is FUJIFILM Medical Systems. The company introduced its new image visualization software, the Synapse Maximum Intensity Projection and Multi-planer Reformatting (MIP/MPR) Fusion. Fujifilm developed the solution for hospitals, imaging centers and radiology settings.

Moreover, M*Modal, a leading company providing healthcare IT innovations, highlighted its advanced solutions for physicians, such solutions represent highly advanced healthcare IT systems, developed by combining speech recognition with natural language. M*Model's solutions provide structured, encoded and clinical documents exchange systems that aim to enhance efficiency, workflow and patient care. Another exhibitor was NovaRad, the company presented its NovaPACS and NovaRIS solutions. The solutions are designed mainly to provide assistance to radiologists, either in group or even single radiologists. Vice president of NovaRad, Paul Shumway, said "This show is a great place to meet with radiologists and find out what their needs are and take that information back and add features and modules to different products,"
